The Australian Section of the World Council of Churches was founded in 1946 as an expression of Ecumenical Movement in Australia. Its aims & activities include promotion of Christian unity, evangelism & service to the community, education, missions & overseas aid, race relations, Aboriginal welfare & youth affairs.
